Another 60% weekend in the books, as we finished 3-2 with a small gain to add to our season totals. The 49ers came out flat, a surprising performance for a team with their season hanging in the balance, but the Cowboys delivered as expected, covering with poise. The Chiefs, despite their offensive inconsistencies, held firm to secure the cover, and the Vikings proved their worth with a dominant win. The Raiders? Well, sometimes a sharp play doesn’t pan out, but that’s the nature of the game.

This weekend, we’re zeroing in on three spots our analytics highlight as the most promising. The process doesn’t change—we’re diving into the numbers, tracking sharp action, and identifying where the value lies. It’s all about staying disciplined and trusting the approach that has guided us to success all season long.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Commanders

Why the Eagles Will Cover

The Eagles have been the most consistent force in the NFC East, riding a 10-game winning streak into this matchup. They are 6-1 against the spread on the road and undefeated within the division. Jalen Hurts’ ability to combine precision passing with dynamic rushing—alongside Saquon Barkley’s explosive ground game—keeps defenses on their heels. This one-two punch has carried Philadelphia to a 12-2 record, dominating in offensive efficiency.

Defensively, the Eagles boast one of the league's most disruptive units. Josh Sweat and Nolan Smith Jr. lead a relentless front seven that can collapse any offensive line, while C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Reed Blankenship in the secondary ensure few mistakes go unpunished. With Washington’s patchwork offensive line struggling to protect Jayden Daniels, the Eagles’ defense is primed to create turnovers and set up short fields. If Hurts and Barkley execute their offense efficiently and the defense limits big plays, Philadelphia should cover the spread.

Why the Commanders Will Cover

Washington has quietly built a reputation as one of the most resilient teams against the spread, sitting at 8-5-1 and 5-2 at home. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels brings a dual-threat dynamic that can exploit the Eagles' defense. His ability to scramble and extend plays, paired with Brian Robinson’s hard-nosed running, offers the Commanders a chance to control the clock and limit Philadelphia’s offensive possessions.

Terry McLaurin is a game-changer for Washington, with 11 touchdowns on the season. His knack for making contested catches in critical moments gives the Commanders a reliable offensive weapon. On defense, Dante Fowler Jr. and Frankie Luvu lead a unit capable of disrupting Hurts’ rhythm. If the Commanders can find success through quick passes, capitalize on their defensive opportunities, and keep the game within reach, they could pull off a major upset or, at the very least, cover the spread.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs Las Vegas Raiders

Why the Jaguars Will Cover

The Jaguars enter this game with slightly more offensive stability and playmaking potential than the struggling Raiders. Quarterback Mac Jones, while not flawless, threw for nearly 300 yards last week and showed resilience in continuing to push the ball downfield despite early mistakes. His chemistry with rookie wideout Brian Thomas Jr., who posted 105 receiving yards, adds a vertical threat that could exploit the Raiders' inconsistent secondary. Add Travis Etienne's versatility in both the rushing and passing game, and the Jaguars have enough firepower to stay competitive.

Defensively, the Jaguars have struggled, but they’ve shown flashes of being able to make critical stops. Against a Raiders offense led by Desmond Ridder, who threw two interceptions last week, Jacksonville's defense will have opportunities to force turnovers. With the Raiders in full tank mode and struggling to find consistent offensive rhythm, the Jaguars’ mix of offensive weapons and potential defensive takeaways gives them the edge to cover the spread or win outright.

Why the Raiders Will Cover

The Raiders are playing for pride and perhaps job security under Coach Antonio Pearce, despite their eye on the NFL Draft. Tight end Brock Bowers has been a bright spot in their offense, recently breaking the rookie receiving record for a tight end. Against a Jaguars defense that struggles to contain tight ends, Bowers could have another big performance. Paired with Desmond Ridder's potential to connect on short-to-intermediate routes, the Raiders could find enough offensive success to keep this game close.

Defensively, Las Vegas has talent up front with players like Maxx Crosby (if healthy) and enough playmakers to disrupt Mac Jones. The Jaguars' offensive line has been inconsistent, and if the Raiders can generate pressure, they could force Jones into the kind of mistakes that plagued him earlier in the season. The Raiders' ability to capitalize on turnovers will be key to covering the spread and potentially sneaking out a win in this AFC battle.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Dallas Cowboys

Why the Buccaneers Will Cover

Tampa Bay comes into this game riding a wave of momentum, having won four straight contests to position themselves firmly in the playoff race. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is having the best season of his career, ranking in the top five in multiple passing categories. His connection with Mike Evans has been lethal, and the duo will look to exploit a Dallas secondary that has been vulnerable to big plays. Additionally, running back Bucky Irving has been a force, breaking 100 yards rushing in two of the last three games. Against a Cowboys defense that has shown cracks in containing explosive plays, Irving could provide balance, keeping the chains moving and creating opportunities for Mayfield to attack downfield.

Defensively, Tampa Bay’s pass rush remains a significant threat, and it will be tasked with disrupting Cooper Rush. The Buccaneers have excelled at applying pressure, forcing hurried decisions and creating turnover opportunities. With Tampa Bay also boasting an excellent record on the road this season (5-2), they’re well-equipped to handle the pressure of this primetime matchup. Add in their fourth-quarter resilience and the stakes of a playoff push, and this is a spot where Tampa Bay has the upper hand.

Why the Cowboys Will Cover

The Dallas Cowboys may have had a rough start to their season, but they’ve turned things around recently, winning three of their last four games. Backup quarterback Cooper Rush has embraced the role of game manager, throwing for 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions over his starts. His ability to protect the football and efficiently distribute it to playmakers like CeeDee Lamb and KaVontae Turpin makes this offense dangerous. Lamb has reasserted himself as the team’s top receiver, scoring in consecutive games, while Turpin’s versatility and after-catch ability can create mismatches against Tampa Bay’s defense.

The Cowboys’ ground game also provides a path to victory. Running back Rico Dowdle will look to exploit a Tampa Bay defense that has been susceptible to inside runs, allowing Rush to operate in more favorable down-and-distance situations. On the defensive side, Dallas’ pass rush must be aggressive in limiting Mayfield’s time in the pocket. If they can contain Bucky Irving and force Tampa Bay into obvious passing situations, the Cowboys’ defense will have a chance to disrupt what has been a very effective Buccaneers offense.
